Under the auspices of the University Education Development Center at the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University and the Department of Education Technology at the Faculty of Special Education, Ain Shams University, the first organized a workshop at the faculty of Education entitled “Infographics in Education: Basics and Skills”. The workshop was held on Tuesday, 31st January 2017.
Dr. Mohamed Shaltout gave a lecture during the workshop. Dr. Shaltout is an assistant professor of education technology and the director of the center of e-learning. He is also an advisory professor of e-learning and visual arts in the Arab East College for Postgraduate Studies, Saudi Arabia.
The workshop was overseen by Prof. Dr. Zeinab Mohamed Hassan Khalifa, professor of Education Technology at the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University and director of the University Education Development Center, and Dr. Mohammed Farag, professor of Education Technology at the Faculty of Special Education, Ain Shams University and head of the Education Technology department.
Prof. Dr. Said Khalil gave a speech to initiate the workshop in which he highlighted the need of keeping up with modern technology and its use in the education process in order to facilitate information communication to students through practical and applied practice of modern technology that is based on the use of graphics and illustrations.
Prof. Dr. Faraa Hassan Mohamed, Professor of Curriculum and Teaching Methodology at the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, stressed that this workshop addresses an important topic that is crucial in modern technology.
Prof. Zeinab also clarified that these workshops held by the center is organized in order to utilize every new trend in education technology to serve the educational process, and that infographics facilitate the process of understanding and learning.
